Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

We rely upon this post office for delivery of mail and packages. It's essential to maintain it in its current convenient location.

Save this post office, it serves an entire neighborhood in Oakland. The remaining post offices are already too busy to take on more customers in a timely manner.

This post office is always busy - I've never been there when there wasn't a line out the door. To consider closing it is irresponsible and damaging, both to the surrounding walking-friendly neighborhood and to those of us who live further afield but rely on this branch for services not provided at our local post office.

Please keep a post office in the Piedmont avenue area

This is a very busy and important post office. It covers many areas that do no t have post offices or are hole-in-the-wall sizes. It would make it extremely inconvenient for so many residents and businesses.

Save our post office! No additional condos!

This would leave only 1 P.O. any where near my home (Montclair) and it is too small, has long lines already and has wretched parking availability.

As an Oakland resident and taxpayer for 40 years, I am angry that services continue to diminish while fees and development projects increase. WTF is going on with our elected representatives???

The Piedmont Post Office at 41st Street is VITAL to the Oakland/Piedmont community and SHOULD NOT BE CLOSED. Thank you.

My family uses this post office 2 or 3 times a week. We walk to it. Please reconsider selling it to a developer.

Though I live in Montclair, this is my main post office for holding mail, passport services, etc. I really don't want to have to drive to West Oakland or San Francisco main POs. We need useful services not another development of which here are so many at the moment.

This post office is the only one avail within miles, this is a walk friendly neighborhood and there are 3 large independent senior buildings within one block of this post office. These neighbors, loyal US Mail users rely upon this location. Additionally, if we continue to remove vital service amenities from our neighborhoods, Oakland will suffer from a lack of civil service agencies. A post office is a hub and provides community cohesion. Please advocate for keeping of this post office. Additonally, the building itself is a fantastic piece of architecture!

This facility is a pleasant, efficient, and very popular station, with a small parking area. It would be a loss to our city to have it removed.
