This post office is essential to the area. The only other post office is on 51st Street and Shattuck/Telegraph. It is too far to go there for many people.
Preserve the commons. Put an end to the destruction of the public services the 99% need.

This Post Office is also important to residents of the southern part of the Rockridge neighborhood, where I live.

As a business owner on Piedmont Ave. who does mail order, I frequently use this P.O. Many residents who do not drive or own cars (the elderly, infirm, low income, et.al.) really need a facility in this area. It would be a hardship to travel by bus to Montclair or elsewhere, especially with packages or bulk mailings.

I moved to this neighborhood a few months ago, and the proximity to the Post Office was one of the amenities that made this neighborhood convenient and appealing. Please don't close the Post Office.

Please don't take away our neighborhood Post Office! We are lucky to be able to do most everything on foot in our pleasant Oakland neighborhood. Many of us, for that reason, don't own a car and it would be a hardship to have to travel to use another P.O.

The community needs a post office, and its heavy use clearly demonstrates the depth of the need.

I'm 81, no car and haven't a prayer to make it to Montclair

For all the reasons listed above, this Post Office is invaluable in this neighborhood, I can't imagine life without it. Please do all that is possible to keep it here.

I'm a senior who lives a block and a half from the 41st street PO. I find it very convenient since I can walk to it, but will find it inconvenient if we lose it. I mostly take public transportation and don't want to spend an hour on buses to go to another PO. We need this PO for our community. It would makes things difficult for us if it has to move out of our neighborhood.

This is a vital and much used PO. The Temescal PO is also already heavily used and the scales are always broken.
With all of the additional housing units being constructed, we will need this PO and more PO services.
