We need this PO to remain open. It is a vital part of the neighbourhood and shutting it down would be a huge mistake.

It is fair to say that thousands of people from several of the adjacent neighborhoods rely on the 41st St US Post Office. Please save it.

While outdated, this post office is heavily used and a pillar of the local community. It should remain in place without a question.

I frequent this busy post office, and there is always a line. Removing this post office would have a huge impact on local residents who do not have cars.

our public conscience is shaped by physical spaces and the experiences we have in them. the post office is a low-key but valuable entity that reinforces the idea of 'neighborhood'. the library, once an active community hub, suffered greatly when relocated 'within walking distance'. the post office should stay clearly visible, centrally located, and accessible to all along the piedmont avenue and 41st avenue axis.

If this is not moved within one block of its current position, then it should not be closed. Furthermore, what will become of the proceeds from the sale or lease of this plot from the city to this private developer? Will this be at market rates? If not, this deal should be scuttled.

The closing of this post office will present an undue hardship for community members.

This is an important neighborhood resource. I utilize the services of this post office regularly. We have plenty of condos going up in our neighborhood. We don't need this!

This post office is a crucial resource to those of us in the surrounding neighborhood, and its loss would severely impact people without easy access to other offices. Most of the other post offices already have huge lines and inconvenient hours, so closing this location would only exacerbate the problem. Making a journey to one of the other locations would be challenging for people who rely on public transport, or are not able to easily get around.

I use this post office a lot and so do a lot of people in our neighborhood. Replacing it with condos is a big mistake!

It seems unreasonable to me to consider closing this vital service without a suitable plan in place to handle the fallout

We don't need any more condos in temescal.

I use this post office when there is a long line at the Temescal post office. Obviously, there is a need for both these post offices. Please keep it open.

Please do not close the Piedmont Post Office. We are already underserved in my 94618 neighborhood. We use the Piedmont Post Office for some services, but we don’t have a local post office for package pick-up or vacation mail hold. We are required to go to the West Grand Annex which is much farther away, has inconvenient hours, and frankly, poor service. If the Piedmont Office is closed, it will make the Telegraph/51st St. office impossibly crowded. This is unfair and wrong. Thank you for your attention to this matter, Diana Curiel 340 Glendale Ave. Oakland, CA 94618

1. This post office is heavily used, and no nearby facility is large enough to handle this volume. 2. The location is within walking distance of a large number of patrons, but also provides parking for those with packages or volume mailing. 3. It would be highly inconvenient for thousands of neighborhood residents to pick up packages, mail, or vacation holds at more distant locations. 4. Many seniors live in the neighborhood and do not have cars. 5. Post Office Boxes here are heavily subscribed. 6. This post office is critical to the vitality of Piedmont Avenue businesses, both for the services it provides to businesses and for the customers it draws to the area.

No! The neighborhood needs it. Old people need it. Please consider the neighborhoods wishes.
