Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

The post office is a valuable and well-used part of this community. It would be a huge loss if it were eliminated.

We need the piedmont ave. Post office!

Please keep this post office open. It is heavily used neighborhood post office that is much more needed than more condos.

What about building above the post office? Make it multi-use, with the USPS on the ground floor and residential above.

This is the ONLY post office in my neighborhood that is withing walking distance. It is ALWAYS busy. If you MUST close this location you owe it to the residents of the Piedmont Ave. neighborhood to build a bigger, newer Post Office with parking in an equally accessible location for our neighborhood residents!

We need a post office in our densely populated area. It would be very inconvenient for the many people who walk & live around Piedmont Ave.

Formerly in the Piedmont Ave., now in the Grand Lake neighborhood. I'm a senior and cannot handle the hills on foot with packages at my local PO so I go to the 94611 one where I can park. If this one has to be closed, please find some space nearby for this purpose where it is flat and there's room for a parking lot!

This post office is an essential resource for the community, including the large number of senior residents residing in close vicintity and the hundreds of new residents moving to new apartment buildings under construction within 1/2 mile of the station. Please keep this facility open by relocating this to a long-term leased space in the Piedmont Avenue area.

This office is desparately needed in the area as an accessible alternative to the one in Temescal for senior citizens, local businesses and those who have significant difficulty using the other office.

This post office must stay open. The Temescal post office is terrible, slow and always has a long line. This cannot happen!

Please, please do not allow this to happen! It's the best PO by far for miles, always staffed w friendly workers and also - the ONLY PO with an Automated Postal Center - which is HUGE. The parking is also a huge bonus. Thank you!

Please keep this post office open and functioning. It is the only staffed post office in this entire community. It is constantly busy. Closing it would be harmful to the local residents.

This post office is essential to thousands of people in the neighborhood, many of whom will have no practical access to a post office if it is removed. Not only should any construction on the site include a new and better post office, but any construction permit should require the postal service and the developer to provide a temporary substitute PO in the nearby area for the duration of construction.
