Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

This post office is so important--and so is parking for packages, heavy items and people with mobility issues. Thanks!

This Post Office is an important part of the Piedmont Avenue neighborhood. It is extremely important to walk-in customers and for timely delivery to local mail customers. What would service the 94611 zip code?

Please keep the Piedmont Station Post Office open. The facility is well patronized- there is always a line when I am there. It is part of keeping the neighborhood walkable.

One of the most important post offices in my area - just went there to get my passport. Build condos somewhere else.

Never enough clerks at any post office - made worse if branches closed!

Please save our local post office. I us it all the time!

Please save our neighborhood post office. It is always busy and it provides a service for our neighborhood which can't be replaced. Many of our senior citizens can't walk or drive to Montclair or Elmwood and they would be at a severe loss of use.

I use this post office all the time because it's so convenient to all the stores on Piedmont Avenue. Please do not shut it down. Thank you

This branch is heavily used. Every time I go in there, there is always a wait. Instead of getting rid of it, it would be great to get more funding to hire more people.

This location provides an invaluable service to local residents, including nearby retirement facilities.

I have lived in this neighborhood (on Howe street) for almost 10 years. The post office is a much used, anyone who has been in there can see how busy it is- all the time. Keep our neighborhood pedestrian friendly and don't make residents get in their cars to simply mail a package. There are LOTS of senior citizens in the neighborhood who rely on this post office...

We need our post office not more condos!!!

This post office should remain in this neighborhood for the large number of residents who depend on walking to do postal business i.e. picking up and mailing packages, holds on mail, mailing supplies and special forms. Please retain the retail portion of the post office.

We have used that post office for many years, and we especially appreciate the parking, which is essential when bringing packages to mail..

We need housing too, and if this site is to be redeveloped, so be it. But then it is incumbent upon the US Postal Service to find a new location that still serves this walkable neighborhood.

I use this post office a lot. It's the only one within several miles that has parking.

Please save our neighborhood post office and refrain from allowing more condos to be built here. The post office is integral to so many members of our community, including being just walking distance to so many seniors (multiple senior facilities) and businesses.

This post office is heavily used (unfortunately there are always long lines!) and conveniently located. Please keep the current post office open or move it to another location within the neighborhood. Maybe the PO Box annex next to the movie theater can be converted?

It is critical for this station to remain open. There is no other station within easy walking distance to most in this neighborhood. It is a very busy station with many senior customers, including myself, who do not have easy access to other stations.
