Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

I rely on this post office branch year round for its many services, as do many people in this neighborhood.

I use this Post Office regularly despite living closer to the Telegraph Ave. station. I prefer this one because the service is better, they have an automated machine in their lobby, and extended lobby hours. I really hope it does not get closed down!

US Post Office 94611 is an essential part of our neighborhood. it reminds us we are part of a national community. It's a place we can walk to.

I and my wife have lived within blocks of this post office for over thirty years, and utilize it, on average, once a week, for everything from buying stamps to mailing letters and parcels. We don't know what we would do without it. Like the library, Rose Garden and other landmarks of the neighborhood, it is a mainstay of our community, and should remain. As testament to this, there are always from five to upwards of a dozen or more people in line or using its services, so it is not as though this indispensable post office is not in demand--in fact, quite the opposite. Please do not permit this neighborhood necessity to be taken from us!

Please keep our 94611 Piedmont post office open and not subject to closure by development.

This post office is very convienant due to its location, parking and it's close proximity to stores and a neighborhood that relys on it due to its proximity.

Please allow our post office to stay where it is. And, please provide more counter tellers!!!

WE REALLY NEED THIS POST OFFICE! This densely populated area of Oakland depends on this location staying operational.

This branch doesn't need to be closed, it needs more staff. There's always a long line and insufficient tellers.

This post office is critical to my business!!! It is a very busy post office; it's hard to imagine depriving the neighborhood of this much-needed service.

Go building some were

Citizens needs services such as a post office, not more condos and expensive restaurants or chain retail. This post office has been, and continues to be an integral part of the day-to-day necessary services for this community. Please do not close it down.

The long lines at this post office are testament to how much it is needed in this neighborhood.

There is no comparable post office anywhere near this post office. Its loss will be devastating to this densely populated neighborhood that houses many senior citizens who will have NO access to a post office.

I use this post office 3-4 times a month. I walk to it from my apartment and it is critical to our neighborhood. Please please do not remove this.

The Piedmont Post Office is an essential part of our thriving neighborhood. Keep it open!

I use this post office quite often and would be sorry to see it close. I can walk to it, which helps me a lot as I have a baby who hates car rides, and I usually have to take her with me when I run errands.

Without the post office, I imagine there would be a lot more cars and fewer pedestrians in this otherwise very walkable neighborhood. The need is obviously great since there's a healthy line at all hours...

The Post Office is an important part of the community and serves many folks who otherwise would have no access to mail services.

The PO is a vital part of the community and an crucial link to the world beyond Piedmont Ave. Keep it open!
