This is a much-needed post office for this area. It is very busy but the staff is efficient and courteous. The small parking lot is always full but with brisk turnover so you can always find parking.

Please keep this facility open! It's a vital part of our community and it would be such a loss to take this away. I use this facility frequently and a real asset for the Piedmont area.

I lived within walking distance of the Piedmont Station P.O. for 27 years. I now live a little farther way, but still run many errands on Piedmont Ave. -- including postal business. Removing this post office would be a serious loss for the neighborhood and the business community.

This post office is critical to us and we use it at least once a week and, particularly important, we walk there to do so. Do not let this essential resource disappear!

The post office is a part of this neighborhood being a functional living community. Keeping the post office will keep the value of the neighborhood. Please keep the post office.

Losing the Post Office at 41st street would negatively impact the surrounding area for miles. This PO is busy all the time, and it has designated parking, unlike the Lakeshore PO or the Temescal.
Please do everything in your power to make a post office part of any new development.

This post office serves this neighborhood and many who depend on it. I have shipped a number of items through it, and it's a good, local resource.

We really need this Post Office. I like the idea to keep it on the ground floor of the proposed condos. That seems the likeliest win-win solution.

I always use this post office and often couple the trip with shopping in piedmont. I'm not wed to the building and don't oppose new construction but I would like to keep a post office in piedmont. There is no grocery store in Temescal and that post office is a bit farther away so I don't use the post office there.

I've been using the post office near Piedmont Ave. for nearly the past 20 years. When I first moved to Oakland as a young person embarking on a career in technology, I opened a P.O. Box there because I had to move around a lot. It was hard to find a place I could call home for a significant amount of time so the P.O. Box helped a lot and prevented me from having to change my address yearly. Now that I have a very stable home, I've still kept my box because it's so convenient. I love the post office and use it every week to send packages or buy stamps and just take care of all my mailing needs. I've been able to walk from my home to the post office practically since I moved to Oakland. It's just so convenient and great. Please, please, please don't close this very convenient post office that is constantly used by so many people in and nearby the neighborhood.

There is a large population of retired people in the neighborhood. Please don't disenfranchise this vulnerable population.

Please don't close our post office! It serves so many people, and is always full and busy. The only other post offices within miles are very small and inconvenient to access.
