Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

Help Oakland stay community!

I work nearby and I do not have a car, so this is the only post office I can access during my lunch break. If this post office should close, I would have no access to any post office during open hours.

I have had a PO box at that location for over 13 year. All of my business and and personal mail have gone there. This would be a terrible loss to my address. Also that USP has been the busiest in the area. What an inconvenience to lose this service for all phases of mail service. Where would I go since there is no nearby location in the proposal. Also the entire city is over building causing less and less parking and more and more vehicle traffic .

This post office is very important to both Oakland and Piedmont!Keep it in place.

We don't need more condos here ....the post office provides a valuable service to the community and needed jobs...quit being so money hungry and do the right thing.

I work in the Piedmont area and use this post office heavily. It is very convenient and always busy, so to take this office away would be a tremendous loss. The Piedmont community really needs this office. Don't close this office to replace it with condos! This would be a true shame. Don't close this Post Office.

I use this PO frequently for work purposes and the convenience is a key part of ensuring the success of my role and the organization i work for. Having a community PO in an area like this imperative to the diverse population served. I hope you will sincerely consider the ramifications of selling out and closing this location. Thank you.

Although there is another post office roughly the ame distance from where I live, this one is by far the most convenient, as there are so many businesses and coffee shops, etc. that bring me to Piedmont Ave.

Don't close this post office. Make the landlord rent the post office space at its current rate.

This post office is very convenient for me because the distance from my home is a walkable distance. I am a senior so any place I can walk to is a good thing. Please keep the post office where it is.

The location and parking for this post office makes it possible for many to visit and use its services. Please keep the post office.

This post office is always busy and I see many of the patrons on foot. My PO Box is over on Piedmont but this is where I pick up my packages. Please save this post office.

NO NO NO

This is a heavily used post office. I use it once a week. This neighborhood needs a post office. What it doesn't need are more people like me: single hipsters -- or empty nesters.

If the City truly believes in supporting walkable neighborhoods, reducing car use for daily errands, and protecting what has made this area one of the most popular places to live in the Bay Area; then they can not allow this P.O to be removed.
