Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

We use this post office all the time. Local post offices are an important community service. This PO is always busy and serves the community well, condos do not.

I am a frequent user of Piedmont Post Office and find it essential for my home office. In addition, I have witnessed the increase in congestion over the past 18 years and can't image that this area can handle the additional traffic which a housing development will generate.

This post office is absolutely essential to the greater Piedmont Ave. Area. Its loss would be a tragic blow to the neighborhood and a betrayal of the gold of the US Postal Service.

I have use the Piedmont Post Office for more than 20 years. We need more stations not fewer. The area is very congested. More condos will only make a traffic worse. The Piedmont Station is chronically understaffed, long lines are commonplace. Staff should be increased not eliminated.

I have lived in Oakland for more than 30 years. Most of the those years I have used the USPS Piedmont Station. It is very convenient.. If anything it should be expanded. Most of the time there are long lines due to the fact that it is chronically understaffed. That particular area is overcrowded. Condos should be build elsewhere.

I use the Piedmont post office weekly. There are not enough post offices remaining as it is. Please keep this location open.

This post office is a great asset to the neighborhood and local community.

With significantly more housing being added to this neighborhood, the 94611 Post Office becomes even more vital. Please don't be stupid. The City, County and Federal governments need to start making wiser decisions.

Many (possibly most) patrons walk-in to this office thereby reducing traffic, and increasing walking "traffic" along many Piedmont Ave and Broadway Ave business. Win-Win!

I LOVE the piedmont post office. Friendly staff, highly used, and important to our neighborhood. Please keep our resources close to us and continue to keep the office open.

Frequently use this local branch--walking to it. don't know of another one nearby i can walk to, nor another one nearby that has the self-serve postal machine that i frequently use
