We who have inscribed our names petition you to release the copies of The Jefferson Lies that you have recalled and reauthorize eBook sales. Since such a request should not be made for light and transient reasons, the causes of this petition shall be stated.
First, Thomas Nelson has smeared the reputation of David Barton, a fellow brother in Christ, without taking concerns to him directly which is an action unbecoming of any Christian company.
Second, you have caused division, over a non-doctrinal issue, within the Christian Church which has blackened our image in the eyes of the world.
Third, Thomas Nelson has shown disrespect and dishonor to their readers by depriving them the opportunity of choice and discernment.

Ridiculous to pull the book. People are smart enough to look at the facts and decide for themselves. Stop catering to the critics and put it back out there.

Total cowardice by Thomas Nelson. David Barton has done so much for history and this is just plain wrong.
