Dear Buckley Administration,
Graduation is possibly the single most important event for high school students. We all look forward to this very important day when we receive our diploma and say goodbye to our career at Buckley.
Previous to this year, graduation had been held for several years at Walt Disney Concert Hall. This location is optimal for students and is a place where many students in our class have been looking forward to finish their high school years. But, this year, it was decided that graduation be relocated to Gilley Field.
This change is understandable. We understand that there may have been issues and/or conflicts with having Buckley's commencement at a concert venue.
However, we have come to the conclusion that Walt Disney Concert Hall is the place we wish to have our graduation in May or June 2017.
By sending this petition over two years before our graduation date, we hope to resolve any conflicts in having the event at Disney Hall. We hope to work with the Buckley administration to have our graduation at the place where many of us have dreamed about finishing off our high school years.
Because Disney Hall is a concert venue, it is extremely important that this process begins immediately. If we wait, the conflicts can only increase and it can become more difficult to have our graduation at this amazing venue.

I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the administration to discuss the logistical barriers regarding the Disney Hall venue. We are currently preparing a detailed breakdown of the potential scheduling solutions for them to review.

The volume of support has now reached a level that warrants a formal meeting request with the administration. I am currently drafting a letter to outline our logistical concerns and propose an initial discussion regarding venue availability.

WHY change it??? The concert hall is iconic for Buckley graduations. Leave it alone.
Listen to the students on this one admin. They have been waiting for this for years.
The kids deserve a proper venue. Its a once in a lifetime event and the concert hall is built for stuff like this.
Please bring back Disney Hall! It felt like a real ceremony there. Walking on a sports field just doesnt feel the same.
Gilley Field gets way too hot in the spring. Disney Hall is way better for everyone attending.
