Putting today's morals on someone who lived 220 years ago, dosent work. Who's name is chosen next will their decisions come back to haunt them in the future when the morals of society changes again

None of us is perfect. If we were to hold those currently objecting to people like Thomas Jefferson, I'm sure they would be found just as wanting. Keep the name. Remember the man. Learn from his mistakes. Take into account the world in which he lived. History may not be so kind to you who are tearing down history just because you can.

Come on people no matter what we cannot change history. And like it or not he represents history. We get it moving forward to the future we need to be aware what we are naming buildings and statues after. But now you are taking memories and history away from my family. My 2 boys graduated from TJ and my husband also graduated from TJ.

All people are flawed. Look at Thomas Jefferson in his time and place. The Declaration of Independence is a masterpiece that endures to this day.
