I also had an accident in Kwabenya a little over a year ago where I was hit head-on by a Nigerian driver. He readily admitted fault. The Kwabenya MTTU Inspector at the time took money from him and attempted to persuade me on several occasions to keep the case on a hush. #thismadnessmuststop indeed.

They have a system that frustrates you from following up for justice and that the bribe is a better option. You then begin to feel like the victim. You have to buy them Phone credits and money for transportation for them to follow up on everything. In the end you would end up spending more and as a result it makes more sense to just go away and fix your own problem with regards to smaller incidences like a bumper or a light hitch.
