Two Burmese journalists, chief editor Thet Zin and manager Sein Win Maung, from the Rangoon-based weekly publication \"Myanmar Nation\" were arrested on 15 February 2008, without any justification being offered. They are now in Insein jail, facing 10 years imprisonment. Burmese Bloggers are appealing to United Nations mediator Ibrahim Gambari to condemn the arrest of these two journalists which could be linked to the presence in the newspaper\'s office of a copy of a report by his UN colleague, Special Rapporteur for Human Rights Paulo Sergio Pinheiro. If you would like to act for the immediate release of Thet Zin and Sein Win Maung, as well as author Lay Lay Mun (alias Phu Ngong) of \"Teenage Magazine\", blogger and author Nay Phone Latt, and poets Min Han, Nay Htet Naing and Ko Ko Maung (alias Zaw Lu Sein), who were also arrested in 2008 please sign below.

The silence from authorities in Insein jail remains heavy but we are not backing down. Contact your local representative today to demand they pressure the UN to intervene on behalf of these prisoners. Send a text to three friends reminding them that staying quiet is not an option right now.

The momentum surrounding our call for the release of these journalists is growing fast. Post the link to your Facebook feed right now and email your local representative to demand they pressure the authorities.

Praying for their safe release. It is scary to think people can just disappear like this.

Ten years for a report? Sounds like they are terrified of the truth. Release them.

My heart goes out to them and their families. nobody deserves to be in insein jail for writing a article.

This is completely wrong. Journalists should never be locked up just for doing their jobs.

FREE THEM NOW. This is a total joke and the world needs to pay attention to what is happening in Burma.
