This is the most atrocious thing i have recently heard being allowed in schools. If you have to keep prayer out of school because of the separation of church and state then keep the rest of that gender neutral garbage out of schools as well. If a person has a penis its not difficult to realize you need to use the boys bathroom, and vice versa.

This should not be allowed in schools - we need to protect our children and this is not doing that. This should be left to the parents, not the school board.

Parents should not be the last to know if their child has identity issues. I do not believe any adult should be "keeping secrets" with a child about anything. A parent should ALWAYS be included in any decisions that will impact their child's life/future. If my child is confused about his/her gender, I, the parent, should be the one who determines what to do about it.

This is social madness! I believe there can be a better way to deal with this issue. I for one do not want to see a person with boy parts in a girls bathroom or locker room. Vice/versa. I think it is unfair to our children and also to the teachers to place this burden upon them for the few students who have an emotional and mental struggle ( for whatever reason ) with relating to to their natural born gender. I, as a Grandmother and a concerned citizen am calling for social sanity and public safety. Will you inconvenience, embarrass and endanger the majority for the approximately 3 out of a 1000 who identify as transgender????

I should have a say and knowledge as to what my child is doing about his gender NOT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION! You are trying to take away my rights as a parent. ITS NOT YOUR JOB to tell my son he can be a girl or someone's daughter that she can be a boy. Stick to education. You will destroy lives if this becomes a law in Michigan.
