The WI To Follow the Equality Act

Men are not women. If men want to meet up without women present, let them set up their own organisation: it's really not difficult. Women are not support animals for mentally ill men.

Women deserve and need single sex spaces, as do men. WI needs to be single sex for women and for the law; Men’s sheds needs to be single sex for men and for the law. Don’t be like Stonewall - don’t be sued.

About time!

I left the WI because they champion the rights of men over those of women. I was president of my local WI, it folded because I left (no one wanted the committee roles) So the WI didn’t just lose 1 member over this, it lost a whole group.

I am shocked that the WI has allowed men, and I believe this is wrong. I can't believe that the Round Table or the Masons would allow women who identified as men.

Get men out of the spaces for women and girls. It takes away safety, dignity and privacy.

Women need their own institute.

Women deserve and have a right to things and spaces that are just for us. It’s a known fact that adding a boy or a man into a female only group, completely changes the dynamic and women often then hold back, become more reserved and much more carefully curate how they speak and about what. The man then often become the focus of attention, & activities and discussions then centre around them. It’s not right that women have to ‘edit’ ourselves & make ourselves smaller to accommodate men. We have a right to and deserve spaces for ourselves that are single sex only.

I left the WI over this matter. It is a source of great disappointment that a long standing women's group is continuing to ignore the Equality Act and the SC judgement by allowing some males to join the WI

There are plenty of mixed sex groups that anybody can enjoy, regardless of gender expression. The WI should return to being a legitimately single sex space.

No men in an organisation meant for women.

Women need our own spaces. Men in those spaces restricts what we feel able to say and do. No one can change sex.

Men are not allowed in Women’s spaces, by law. Men cannot be women.

Men are not women.

The law is the law and no man can ever become a women.

I am a member of the WI and luckily we have no men in our small rural group. I could see the group surviving if we did.

Men -get your bodies out off our spaces and your hands off our rights. They aren’t for you.

Women are adult human females. No man can be a woman.

No woman has a penis.

The original purpose of the WI should still stand.
