Yeah Ultimate frisbee is a great sport for high school kids. The equipment doesn't cost that much all you need is a field and a disk.

Ultimate frisbee is an amazing sport, especially for high school students. It also doesn't cost that much to fund!

Ultimate was very good for my son in high school. The Spirit of the Game fosters a positive, welcoming culture across competitors. I highly recommend this sport to all.

Ultimate Frisbee is already recognized as a club sport in several schools in the Northern Virginia area. It just makes perfect sense that the major high schools in the Fairfax county area promote and allow this sport to flourish.

I am a graduate of Hayfield High School (1989) and longtime former Fairfax County resident. I played Ultimate at UVA & later for numerous clubs over the year. I volunteered nationally for Ultimate from 1995 through 2012 when I began working for USA Ultimate, the national governing body of the sport. I still volunteer internationally.
Ultimate, aside from the benefits of other sports, also through self-officiation and the Spirit of the Game, teaches excellent values. Further recognition of the sport of ultimate will lead to better student-athletes and better citizens.

Though I don't live in Fairfax, the sport is a great teaching and learning tool for kids, safer than many currently recognized sports and a very open and accepting community.

Recognizing this as a sport will only lead to a better program than the one that has already been developed without any FCPS help, help the kids!

Wish we had ultimate frisbee in high school when I was there. But I'm glad that the sport is growing. Go VT Burn!
