Unacceptable. As a Georgian I am appalled that this monument to genocide has been preserved and not torn down. Take it down immediately.

This slave market should’ve been down out the middle of downtown.

I am from Matthews, Georgia. When my daughter attended Wrens Elementary School, they went on a field trip to the slave market. It was embarrassing to know that the Board allowed this as a field trip. It should have been gone a long time ago.

It is over, due. A minister suggested years ago that it needed to be burned down. We do not need this as a memorial.

This is a great way to take steps to healing. While important to remember the past, not everything needs to be so elevated.
