Please change your name. Do you know how long it has taken and how many of our mothers and grandmothers had to fight against this word?! Would you use another racial slur? No. So please listen to us when we are asking you to change it.

To be an ally is to intentionally take steps for those that have less of a voice. Your voice is saying (to me and many others) they you do not care about the effect your actions have on others (natives in particular). Change the name, please.

This is a derogatory and demeaning term aimed at Native women, reducing their personhood to nothing more than their genitalia...

Squaw is a term that has been used to or has accompanied the continued brutalization of the indigenous women of North America for centuries. This name isn’t only unnaceptable, it’s an act of ongioing settler violence. The disregard shown by you and your staff to these outraged native women shows that the legacy of these same colonial attitudes of disregard for lives and dignity of indigenous women continue—and they continue with you and your company. On a human level and as females you should all be incredibly ashamed of yourselves that when you sisters clearly needed your support and solidarity, you scoffed at them and pretended you were the victim instead of taking accountability and showing up for the first women of this country you live in.

This business name is extremely derogatory. I would never shop there based on the name alone.

Treaty 1 territory. Manitoba, Canada This is a racial slur! Would you say the "N word" to black people? This is just as bad. Change the name and keep the business is all we ask.

Once you realize your choice was offensive, derogatory and actually continues a generations-long harassment, genocide and cultural endangerment, the only honorable thing to do is apologize sincerely, change your name, and become an ally. It's never too late to learn and adjust. Use your platform to protect women, not subject them to more indignity, harassment and danger. Thank you.

You made a mistake by naming your business this. You didn’t really open up your comments to anyone for discussion. Swallow your pride and change that hateful and racist store name of yours.

No other racist term could be used and abused for marketing purposes this way; another example of the 'acceptable' oppression of indigenous people. I'll be letting everyone I know not to support this store.
