It is simply wrong to appropriate indigenous culture as well as using derogatory terms, esp. in your business name, against other ethnicities.

This willfully ignorant woman should rename her business the Arrogant White Girl or something equally fitting... The White Trash Pretender? The Proud Racist Redneck? The Arrogant Aryan?

The ignorance is disgusting with liberal minded entrepreneurs who use our culture to make profits for themselves. I suppose colonial garb isn’t cute and marketable!

Your name is cultural appropriation. You have no roots or ties to the native american culture yet you are profiting off of it big time.

Squaw is such a hateful word, used to rape, beat, murder and dehumanize indigenous women. The name of your store is so very hurtful, there is no equivalent of that term use on white women for me to draw a parallel for you to understand. It is a term wrapped in hundreds of years of genocide and oppression with murders still occuring today. Please consider reaching out to the indigenous people who are clearly trying to contact you and listening. To truly love others culture and heritage we must respect and educate ourselves about them. Your use of a chief's headdress (an item with significant spiritual and emotional meaning) and the name of your shop are two great places to start. You have a chance to make this right and to educate many people should you take it.

Really????????????????????????????????
Sq*** does NOT MEAN NATIVE WOMAN OR WIFE!!
I cannot believe you when you say you didn't know, anyone whose done their dire diligence has been watching what's going on with Murdered & Missing Indigenous Women all over North American continent. Please refrain from living something if you' ve NEVER experienced that life/culture and know the history. This is why Native American history SHOULD BE IN SCHOOL CURRICULA not just regional but EVERY NATION.

Cultural appropriation AND racist slurs? The owners and operators of this company should be sincerely ashamed. You are profiting off of the backs of the very people you are insulting. If you’re that dead set on running a boutique based in ignorant privilege, get yourself a Lululemon franchise.

Maintaining the racial slur is not honouring indigenous women in the way you think it is.

What's really important, keeping a name that could easily be changed or facing the fact that your business will be boycotted and negatively protrayed.

This company needs a history lesson in the colonization and genocide of native people. Change the name!
