Do the right thing and change the name. I’ve worked with disadvantaged Indigenous youth my entire career. It is shocking that anyone would think using a term like that at any time would be appropriate let alone using it in a business name.

You have been contacted by numerous Indigenous women explaining why the choice of name for your business is hurtful and hateful. The fact that you have chosen to continue to use it makes it clear you ascribe to the racist connotations associated with the offensive term “squaw”. Shame on you! Try to find it in your heart to be a human being and find some other name instead of making a living on the pain and suffering of Indigenous women.
