When Native people say the term is racist and offensive, listen and do the right thing and stop perpetuating derogatory dimeaning terms.

This is the most offensive name I have seen. And I cannot believe that the store owner has not been held accountable to remove immediately. Extremely derogatory to indigenous woman. What are we teaching our younger generations if this disgusting stuff is allowed? White privilege at its finest. Way to go Instagram for allowing it!

The misuse of indigenous words and languages has over time made the term “squaw” unacceptable. It has become a derogatory term used to describe and demean women of aboriginal ancestry. The fact that the word or the sound used to mean something else does not make this any less offensive as the word has changed over time and has been mainly used by non-indigenous people with reference to female genitalia to insult and demean women of aboriginal ancestry. A non-indigenous person that does not find the term offensive and chooses to use it despite protest from the indigenous people whom it does offend is acting from a position of privilege. Break the cycle, hear us on this. “Squaw” is an offensive and racist term. Please change your business name.

Squaw is a derogatory meaning a Indigenous females VAGINA. What the heck is WRONG with this woman?! DO NOT BUY ANY OF HER PRODUCTS which are most likely NOT American made. Something is seriously mentally unstable about anyone using that term.

Anyone claiming ignorance in terms of the true meaning of squaw is no excuse. They were told and they straight up said they didn’t care.
