It needs to be changed. Women, and especially Indigenous women, have gone down a rough and winding road to get to the platform of respect and recognition to rights and equality. People and businesses like this set back ALL women's progress immensely.

There is no reason to continue to offend people once you are aware of having performed an action that is hurtful to others. A person with a good heart would apologize and take corrective action. What kind of person is this???

C'mon! Y'all! Now that you know how deeply offensive the word is to a vast majority of us Natives just change the shop name and spare yourself more negative publicity which is detrimental to success in retail.
I get that being subject to criticism, especially in large scale, can be hard. I'm sure that, because of the deep emotions evoked, criticism was harsh, but "doubling down" and continuing to be offensive after learning so, is not the way to succeed in your endeavour!
People are forgiving and your business would benefit if you were to just acknowledging the gaffe and lesson learned, a genuine apology, and name change. I can categorically say that continuing to be contrary and offensive is the worst thing to do in this situation and would say a lot about you and your business practices.
