What drove me to sign this petition is the owner's sheer unwillingness to learn from a mistake. White women have enormous privilege over the groups this name is so demeaning toward. I think any earnest attempt at understanding American history and this lingering, painful power imbalance would do the trick, but no. You gotta do better!

I am a full blooded Navajo and find the the name spunky squaw highly offensive, not only to me but to other native women out there. If the owner doesn’t find this offensive then she needs to learn her history.
