Consumers want MORE from the Saskatoon Farmers' Market

SO many restaurants & nearby businesses have shortened hours. On many occassions we come for a late afternoon meal and are turned away or businesses aren't open. Try finding a nice local bistro open on Sunday or Monday, not likely. Thursday, Fri, Sat evenings people are looking for someplace to be OUTSIDE. You have a great market square why not open it up to vendors for drinks/eats/entertainment. The whole city is very short on places to sit and it would be lovely to have a sit, a drink outdoors without having to be in a loud noisy bar or restaurant. We find we don't even bother coming to the market as it's often empty or I just can't get there by 2 on Saturday and most everyone is gone. Look at Calgary's Market on 77ave as a model. I actually get there more often than in Saskatoon

I would like farmers market to be able to sustain more hours of operation.

Currently Saturday is the only day full supported by the vendors. Getting more vendors to come out even on the Wednesdays and Sundays will help to draw more crowds. Best of luck!

I'm all for fresh local produce! We need more access to this all week. The farmers would see great profits!

In order to make the Farmers' Market more cooperative and conducive to better small business, I believe that the doors should be open to all leasing vendors 6 days per week.
