The "Royal" prefix should be removed in my opinion as well!

Gaelic culture survived in Cape Breton due to efforts of the Gaelic people. 'Royal' is hardly needed now--almost an insult!

The Royal prefix defeats the entire reasoning behind having a Gaelic College which is to study and preserve the Gaelic culture. Nothing

'Royal' does not enhance the name of the Gaelic College.

What has the word "Royal" have to do with our Gaelic culture?

Leave it as it was. The royals are and were bigger terrorists over the years then any other radical group, especially to Gaelic speaking people.

Did anyone find out the reason behind her need/want to change the name ? and how do they explain the benefit of it ?

We don't need the Queen's for anything in Canada.

The name Gaelic College has served our country for many years,we've maintained it and taught many people there, why do we need to change the name because the Queen decided we should? I believe as Cape Bretoners we are quite capable of keeping our " Gaelic College" alive and well without royalty .
