The fact that Polonis has not stepped down is deeply troubling to me. I'll be paying much more attention to the board in the future. I get the feeling we will be needing more of these petitions in the future sadly.

As a Lake Monticello resident I do not want Polonis, a member of the board of directors, to make decisions and speak for this community. His actions and abhorrent views on the LGBTQ+ community directly harm individuals living at the lake, who have a right to feel safe in their neighborhood and community. Furthermore, a board member at the VERY least should understand the handling of criticism and personal information. Members (of all varieties) should feel safe to discuss issues, bring forth information, and look out for one another without fear of PRIVATE information being shared as an act of retaliation and intimidation.

As a Lakes resident, I do not want this person representing me or making decisions for my community. Not only do I not trust he will make good choices for the whole, but I do not think he is capable of making smart conscious choices based on his recent actions.

I live in Lake Monticello and my adult child is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. We don't want members on the council who make negative statements and give out personal information on social media.
