I oppose this rezoning applications for many of the same reasons my fellow residents oppose it: The proposed smaller dwellings and increased density will likely drag down neighboring home values that are only now recovering from the market crash, and the nearby schools--particularly Mountain Park Elementary, currently home to several portable classrooms with little if any room for more--would be challenged to deal with the volume of new students who would follow such a development.

Parkview HS is the 9th largest high school in the state. This change will only increase overcrowding, excessive additional traffic, and lower property values. Zoning should be left at R-100. This developer doesn't have to live here, we do.

The developers representative said in the re-zoning application that this is really an R-100 development the "R-60 is merely a name". Then why in the world would the zoning need to be changed? There is NO good reason to change the zoning density (excluding additional profits to the developers). The negatives are very well stated in the petition.
