Mario Castro can only be described as a human being whose generosity knows no end. Mario Castro is a father, grandfather, mentor, leader in the workplace, and friend to many. He has over 18 years in his profession and has been employed at his current job for over 9 years. At his job he goes above and beyond year after year for his residents at Portofino Apartments. During the infamous Texas snowstorm of 21’ that lasted several days, instead of staying home, Mario drove on icy roads and stayed overnight at the apartment complex for 2 days battling a series of frozen pipes bursting one after another. That was not a requirement from his job, he did so on his own accord. Mario is beloved and respected at the Portofino apartment complex. Over the past month of October 2024 Mario was unable to respond to any messages or phone calls from his cell phone, however that did not stop his residents from calling or leaving messages to his personal phone. They voiced their concern over Mario’s health as they have not seen him for weeks. As a person, Mario is known by his friends as dependable, charismatic, and generous. When his friends have a problem, Mario is the first person they call because they know he is dependable and will do whatever he can with the best intentions. Mario once helped a single mother of 4 children by gathering some of his friends and gave this mother a kitchen makeover. Mario did not receive payment for this act, he merely acted out of the kindness of his heart and his willingness to help. Together he and his friends donated cabinets, painted the kitchen and retiled the entire dining room floor. Mario’s charity does not stop there, he is a frequent donor to his local church, he also donates money during the holidays to children in Peru in his local hometown, and I have never seen him pass on the opportunity to donate to the local homeless while waiting at the stoplight. Mario is always thinking about what is best for others without asking for anything in return. He has no malicious bone in his body, would never hurt any living being, and represents true values.The signatures below represent the lives he’s touched and the people who truly know Mario Castro.

I honestly cannot stop looking at the screen because this momentum is just wild and it really shows how many lives Mario has touched over the years. It feels like people everywhere are finally recognizing the kind of heart he has and I am honestly just so overwhelmed by how much love is pouring in right now.

Mario Castro is a wonderful person, a great father, an excellent son and pillar of a family. Describing one of his actions that demonstrates his generosity, they are the selfless gifts to the children of Humancocha - Peru, a place with few resources, and thanks to him many children smile every Christmas.
Mario is a humble person with good feelings, he supports people who really need it and every year for Christmas he brings gifts for the most needy children, he supports the family and is a good brother. He is always guided by his heart and sometimes that is why people take advantage of him, he is a human being incapable of harming anyone.

I know him about 15 years and he always was ready to come home to help us with any issue, only a call and he always responds … he’s a very good friend and we miss him. Now we are praying to get out of this situation.
I have had the pleasure of working with Mario as his realtor for over four years, during which he has proven to be consistently honest, easy going, respectful, and one of my favorite clients, bringing a positive and collaborative energy to every interaction.

Con respecto a Mario puedo dar testimonio q es una maravillosa persona un gran ser humano q vela por su madre y su familia da apoyo a las personas q nesecitan apoyo sea un familiar o no siempre apoya a personas de bajo recurso apesar de vivir fuera de Perú lo sigue haciendo,no espera nada a cambio ,no es una persona violenta es amable ,trabajador y de buen corazón .
