The Real Change on Gun Control

It's time to stop the violence.
Gun control doesn't have to mean no guns. We are not suggesting we take guns away but suggesting we put tighter controls on purchasing and possessing them.
Retailers should be held to more accountability. Training and testing should be mandatory, along with a mental stability test, and a renewal process that includes all previous tests. Gun owners and non-gun owners need to come together and agree on regulations that protect the right to own a firearm for those who are mentally stable, responsible adults and keep them out of the hands of children and mentally unstable people.
We hope that we can all agree to these terms and be able to come to an agreement in a civil matter. Acquiring and owning a gun should be as protected and restricted as getting a learner's permit, license, and ability to drive a car.
Gun control is not the only aspect of the solution, but it's a start. If even these small steps keep guns out of the hands of one mentally unstable person and saves one life, it's worth it.
