As a Graduate student with a BA in English and as a vegetarian, I approve of these changes. It simply makes sense.
I think this every time I read a menu choice of "meatless..." followed by the word meat!

Isn't it a meatball recipe that's been altered to taste similar to a meatball without having meat ingredients? Wouldn't that make it kind of an appropriate name choice? And if naming it based on high academic rigor is the goal wouldn't "soy ball" be more appropriate than meatless ball? Otherwise we'd be calling things meatless bananas and meatless cake wouldn't we?
