As of today, NYU stands divided. While the University's team name is the Violets, our mascot is the Bobcat. In an effort to unify the school and bring together its seal, logo, color, mascot, team name, and ideals, we, the students of NYU, put forth a new mascot: The NYU Trailblazer, and a a new team name: the NYU Trailblazers.

The bobcat is so random it makes no sense for nyu. trailblazer actually sounds like something a city school would have. lets do it.

FINALLY. been saying this since freshman year. Violets and bobcats dont match at all, this is way better branding for the university.
