Why do we call it the Midwest if it's not in the west? It's in the middle and is closer to the east side of America than it is to the west side. I think that we should call the Midwest the Mid(dle) or something close to that. When saying you're from Midwest, people think you are closer to the Pacific Ocean if they are not familiar with America's geography. I have lived in the Midwest, and it bothers me that we call it this. Please sign my petition to change the generalized location name! Thanks!
