I am a hard working, consistent young man, who takes good care my children. I am going through the negative practices of child support. One man can only do so much to make sure, he has a stable place to live, a decent job, and most of all, to be able to take care of his children. Child support makes it very hard, to the point, that it is so easy to fall and not get up. You get so far in a hole that it's literally impossible to come out unless you have a significant other to help you or you win the lottery.  I have been turned down by apartment complexes because the amount of child support that I pay. These apartments were only charging $300.00, to $350.00, per month. I can't get any income taxes even though I work all year, and pay taxes through my job. I feel they should only be able to take a percentage of my income tax return, not the whole amount. Child support's way of doing there BUSINESS is all wrong. Now I am a college student attending Columbus State Community College. I am receiving financial aid, which is the only way that I can pay my rent and have my children with me. Now child support is trying to go through my bank account, and take all that's in there. So if they take my financial aid, then what will I do. For a mother to put their children's father on child support, it should be a long hard fight. Instead it's very easy. I am not saying that some men should not be on child support, but I am doing everything I can to take care of my children both emotionally and financially. So many women use child support like it's a weapon, if even the father is there.  Some women place child support out of anger for a failed relationship or other reasons, not because it is a necessity.   If a man is doing everything in his power to do the right thing does a woman have the right to punish him for not being with her anymore?  This petition is to help change the way child support is set up, and to help young men out there trying to live in society legally.
