Keep auto shop and cooking and quit teaching common core math. Two skill sets that every kid could benefit from should never have been considered from cancellation. Against the single dumbest thing the school is shoving down our kids throat Common Core math is the absolute dumbest thing ever and will never be used in the real world.

I am shocked that the Board of Education in Garrett County would make this decision without hearing from the public. I have many questions about the staffing of the newly configured program and how it will impact our students. I would also want to be assured that safety of the students and staff in this new configuration has been thoroughly thought through and that education and safety is paramount in their thinking.

this is a terrible idea moving auto and foods because if they do we wont have that oppertunity to learn these things in life and if we dont have the basic lessons on how to cook or work on a car and if we dont everyone is going to not have the basic life skills in life needed to suceed in life and you would have to pay a garage which would be not a good suggestion and if life skills aint tought we would be not a good thing to move from school because we need automechanics and foods and if we dont have it we would be in a bad position for life. its a huge waste of classes and knowlodge.

Our high school kids should not have to travel to take a class.

As a former student and to be honest didn’t have no interest in the class I see how big it is to the kids in the community most of them work in garages or farms after highschool they need this opportunity

What happens when the child does not drive. The whole class time would be on the road. Would not be fair if students can not take the class if they don’t drive

I enjoyed Auto mechanics at SHS and I have owned my own Auto Repair shop for the last 16 years . There needs to be a common ground to help these students

I don’t believe this is a very good idea.

Hire some teachers for Northern students. This is ridiculous. I'm sure hiring a teacher would be much cheaper than hauling students this far. How long are the classes. If an hour class on road 45 minutes leaves 15 minutes for the student to be in class. What a waste.

There are much better plans than this to save money and help our students. Please let the community be a part of this decision.

This is so unfair to Souther students. They deserve an equal opportunity to attend classes without having a negative impact.
