Don't punished the students at one school because you can't fill these positions at another. Accident is NOT a central location.

As a former student, the culinary class was enriching to my experience at SHS and the shop was a cornerstone for many of my peers. Moving this location would create a barrier to learning for students at Southern, the far commute will dissuade students from taking those courses, courses which are an integral part of becoming a functioning adult in society.

I agree that they should find a better place for it to b located than in Accident.

You guys are making it very difficult for us to want to keep our kids in the public school system. I understand that things have changed, but these type of classes are what kids get excited to come to every day. I will be exploring other options.

I don't think this is fair to the Southern students. It would take so much time out of their day and make it really difficult for them to take the classes they are required to take to graduate. It also is a waste when Southern already has the cooking equipment and kitchen. Kids love these classes and for some those classes are the only thing they like about school.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to move this to the other end of the county.

This is absolutely heart breaking to hear. Kids both Southern and Northern Should have access without a complete schedule change.

This is definitely not fair to students, let these students continue their educational paths!

Would it not make better sense to bus Northern students to Southern since they already have the program in place?????

My daughter, Nadia Ward, take the culinary course as her career pathway. Next year will be her senior year making it too late to change her pathway. Due to her previous class credits not transferring when we moved from FL, she has ZERO room in her schedule to lose a period next year. This situation would cause her to not meet graduation requirement and she would have to attend another year of high school… which is totally unacceptable! If Northern lost a teacher and also wants to bring in a new culinary class, teachers need to be hired for those positions! Not forcing Southern teachers to travel and teach where they do not wish to teach.

So please, tell me, what will be done with these very essential classrooms?

For students that are already far along in these pathways they will be forced to not have the option of being a dual completer or else choose to forego the possibility of college dual enrollment. This takes away the same options that are said to be available to anyone that wants to take advantage of them.
