I myself took these classes and it taught me a lot of things that I still to the day 28 years old would not know about if it had not been for me taking these two courses. How is it ok to take from one side of the county just because the other has not had or can not fulfill. It should be in a equal location or distance. These classes for a lot of kids through the years has been life changing and a big help to their success in life. They also have been a big help in keeping kids busy and entertained. BOE need to reconsider all kids in all situations and make it equal. Many kids depends on these classes to set their schedules in high school without them some kids could loos a lot of much need knowledge and guidance.

With gas prices rising that is to much to drive and it was the best part of my high school career to have those offered on campus don’t take this from them

These two programs are the most successful CTE programs at SGHS. Sadly, several CTE programs have been discontinued in previous years. Moving the Auto and Foods programs to Accident Md will most certainly cause these classes to lose participants from Southern High and likely cause these programs to ultimately cause the Board of Ed to sunset these programs. As a former SGHS educator, who personally witnessed both of these successful programs, it would be a travesty to move something that on paper and in real time, works.
Please consider funding both of these positions at NGHS or in the space you propose in Accident specifically for NGHS students and leave the SGHS programs at SGHS.

My son will not be able to graduate on time if this takes place to lack of 4 full course per semester. Not to mention the hardship or travel and expenses.

Please quit treating the Southern end of the county as if we don’t deserve anything. You took our schools, you never had money to renovate our middle school. Look at our schools compared to the northern end. You tear our area as the lower end part of the county.

As a previous student I took foods as my electives along with it being in my career pathway. I feel as if you are taking it away from the many students that could benefit from this.

As an alumna of SHS, I look back fondly on having the trade programs integrated into our school - it was a good experience all around, and I'd be sad to see that experience removed in such an unfair and inequitable way.

I completely agree that if you want to have a central location that's great but how about do an every other week or every other term schedule.
