Thank you Steven for your point of view. Yes I don't know the "worst of the worst" racism some student had to endure at TCCS. Living in a racist country in my youth, I saw how horrible racism is. I still reserve this terminology for those who practices racism. I don't want to delude it because it can loose it's meaning if we use it carelessly. Respectfully, Karl Katona

Apparently we aren’t allowed to defend our stance. You want to talk about being silenced and yet you are the one saying I am not allowed to speak. The people who signed this are not afraid of you. They know that people do say racist things but to condemn a school for not having an Anti Racist class is ludicrous. And then your petition blatantly attacks a member of faculty by name with only one side of the story. You should be ashamed. You want to assume so much about me and you racism is assuming something about someone because of the color of their skin. The defense I keep hearing from the other petitioners is very Hypocritical. The most Anti Racist message that can be taught is that we have One Creator and we are Equal in His Eyes. He does not differentiate between His children so we should not either. I pray that you will see how what you have said in your petition IS an attack on the faculty and students alike Don’t discriminate against those who have signed this Don’t be little them

If I saw any form of racism or bigotry during my time at TCCS, then I would not be signing this petition. And do not assume my race by the fact that I signed this petition.

You supported the first petition without hearing the other side. I’m ashamed of you. You want to say that if your child is white, you don’t have a say? You should be ashamed of yourself for making such a race based comment. The initial petition was full of accusations based on half truths. I have heard the other side of the stories and you should be ashamed for blindly getting on the bandwagon. You guys want to end racism and yet you want to say white people have no say in this? Do you hear yourself? First step against racism is to eliminate your type of thinking.

TCCS should be commended for standing strong on Biblical principles and need our support during this hard time! For every negative account there are hundreds more positives. Seattle Taylor just graduated from TTCS, a biracial student, and thrived there. TCCS is a refuge and blessing for our community! There needs to be a line drawn in the sand that says ENOUGH!! The enemy will not pull us down!

Notice how you don’t know every single person who signed this but you want to say they are all white...and you want to say you aren’t racist? No one is saying that racist comments aren’t said amongst peers. A student called another student the N word. That’s was bad and that student was punished. A student kicked the other student in the nuts. That’s was bad and they were punished. What you should take away from that is calling someone the N word hurts as bad as kicking someone in the groin.

I began my teaching career at TCCS and all 3 of my kids attended there. Now 4 of my grandkids do. TCCS actually teaches American history. If we do not learn about the past, we will have no compass by which to guide us in the future. May the Lord continue to bless TCCS.

TCCS is an incredibly inclusive school based on Christian values yet loving to every human.

Having my children educated in TCCS is the biggest blessing in my life living in the US. I am in full support of this school where kids are able to learn how to be a productive, people and God loving, responsible citizens.

I can appreciate and understand any past hurts from kids who have been offended by others or felt discriminated against and I do feel the pain as a female minority myself. However, I full heartedly agree with this petition because I too believe that even though my own children’s feelings have been hurt or they felt as though they were treated differently due to their nationality, they received a great education with a Godly foundation and have life long friends in teachers and students that they will value forever. Having said this, could we all use a little more discretion and have a bit more intentionality and compassion when it comes to “respect for the individual”? Yes we can. There is always room to grow and I look at the last petition as an opportunity for the school to rise up and say...yes, we can do better, we will!! Tri City is a CHRISTIAN school based on Christian and Bibical foundation. I saw that some folks felt judged for not believing in some of those basic bibical principles and for those folks I would say that maybe TCCS is not the best fit for them. Why go to a school that does not align with your standards or core values and fundamental beliefs? There are so many other schools in North County that might be a better fit and some of the past students did find that to be true. TCCS is a safe place for Christian students to learn academics through the lenses of their Christian faith. Regardless I am saddened that the first petition was put out on social media as I feel that TCCS would have welcomed a open, in person discussion with administration, past students, past board members for that matter and anyone else that had concerns about racism at TCCS. On a social media platform it does become distorted and sensationalized and it does not give the accused an opportunity to respond on a platform that encourages transparency, and truth through dialog and personal interaction and love. We have partnered with Tri City Christian for over 11 years. We stand with you TCC.

Kids say mean things to each other all the time. It’s part of growing up learning to always be kind and considerate and watch what you listen too or speak. I think Tri-City does a great job handling situations with regards to bullying and student disputes when it’s brought to their attention. I don’t think their are any racist teachers, students or parents of students that attend the school.

I went to Tri-City for 3 years and graduated in 1988. I came from a public school where I saw hate and racism daily. Try-City Christian School was a great place for me to see good, loving Christian people, not hate and racism.
