The Learning Lab to allow postpone/refund fees [covid19]

Full support this petition, what TLL is doing doesn’t help at this crisis moment.

The so-called online learning of TLL is quite terrible. TLL gave very short notice to release the learning materials at its web portal. Parents don't even have efficient time to print out before the class. The online learning is conducted non-professionally. Students have to read the materials by themselves. For students' questions, the teacher only provides text reply. Very disappointed to pay high tuition fees to get such terrible tuition services from TLL. I strongly request for either refund the tuition fees or postpone the lessons.

Discussion forum would never work as live classroom teaching. Suggest to have online live teaching using zoom, Skype etc.

The learning experience definitely does not warrant the fees we pay

We got 2 children with TLL. One got Conference and not able to connect to Conference, call to hot line 1/2 hour but no answer, need to go down to TLL Center personally to get connected, by that time class has been more than 1.5 hours ready. Need to get replacement class. My the other one class got no conference and teacher use forum by messaging, it is not effective and surprised that TLL got double standard. No calls were made even though students can not join conference. But I can tell you that other tuition center do that even our kid’s didn’t join or late for class. TLL Service is very bad.

Suggest hold back to class

I confirmed current solution provided by TLL is very Low quality. I strongly ask to either improve the quality by applying real video courses or at least postpone it till normal situation is back.

We have 2 different P6 classes with the learning lab. One of the teacher is good n handling the situation well however the other Science teacher is not. Change our timing without provide alternative timing and teacher clearly told that if the student cannot make it can ask question after that. TLL charged us to provide class not to just answer questions. Have been trying to reach TLL on this but not able to reach helpline due to busy. Phone no. Provided but still awaiting for TLL phone call after 4 days while the class already over. TLL shld take serious action on this.

Strongly time arrangement and less effective of web class, no worth for the fees paid

The online learning platform is unacceptable and the response on the fees reduction and refund is bad. The fees paid a term is equitable to a year of quality online lessons But quality of TLL online lessons is far from comparable

My son Yiyang is having English and Science lesson on Saturday. Typing mode is totally unacceptable. Provide quality tuition matching with price, otherwise say goodbye to your customers!

Absolutely Appalled at the so called online learning which does not even have any verbal or visual interaction with teacher and the timings are scattered all over! There should be full replacement scheduled in June or defer the lessons accordingly. For all the brains and resources working and supporting the organization, you were all way too conceited and over confident that the online lessons will be a hit. TLL - this is a super fail!

Please lower fees chargeable

This makes me confused. XinZhongWen(under TLL providing Chinese tuition) gives children a better online learning experience with real time interaction simulating classroom learning. Even smaller tuition centers that have only one branch in Singapore can make lessons so much more effective than a tuition company that is dotted all over the country. I am truly disappointed with the new system. I wrote in my feedback to my child's English teacher to which she replies that TLL cannot do an online conference due to PDPA law. However, the discussion forum is not a good substitute for the regular class. At best it can only supplement. Like

This is a case of very poor Business Continuity Planning.

The lesson are difficult to follow and the pace is too fast for my child to understand and copy down the workings from the screen. It’s one-way interaction and not interactive.

We do not support online learning. If we do, we would have signed up for online learning ctr. Please refund or rollover.
