The Learning Lab to allow postpone/refund fees [covid19]

Attended the 1st online class this afternoon. Initially thought was live online teaching, ended up it was watching video n parent has to sit beside and guide throughout the whole lesson. We pay thousand dollar tuition fee to get videos? We can understand Covid-19 is unforeseen circumstances but TLL handled it very poorly.

My kids have attended a few online courses, and the one provided by TTL is the most inconvenient, and backward. Their online course service does not address to the needs of students, and not match to the money we paid for, either.

Even the teachers are frustrated with the arrangements - why is management insisting on approaches which do not work, and only selectively replying to FB feedback?

The 360 TLL discussion forum does not work at all. Please look into full refund if you are not able to provide a better alternative. This is a concern raised by all parents. Don’t private message, be transparent and address this request openly to all parents. Thanks!

Terrible Platform. Difficult for both the student and the teacher. Outdated. Not even live forum. Need to refresh a million times to read the replies. Ridiculous.

I was extremely frustrated during the first lesson w my daughter. First of all, the platform is not live lessons but forum where everyone posts a chat. I Sat through the Whole lessons, the teacher only posed three. Pages n asked everyone to do, then went missing n kids started to wonder where is the teacher: I didn’t manage to print out the material as parent portal put me to error pages for last many days. So basically, my girl can’t do anything. I took leave to go through this with eHR n get really piss as this is totally not working. I called the teacher but no time to handle my feedback as she said she is on the online class. What I said is what online class is this where u only pose three pages of small things for kids to do then that’s all. I called the Centre but nobody pick up: I wrote in Facebook n message the school, didn’t get attention until one apology message couple minutes ago. I asked them to change the livecast platform to where every other Centre did it so smoothly but we paid less tuition fee. This is just crazy n not worth to pays o much for such lousy way of teaching.

Younger kids have are time to keep getting involved. It requires full time parents involvement during the lesson. Why should I pay to do the teacher job?

1. There were glitches that the kids can’t see any of the JPG that the teacher loaded. They were then asked to refer to their notes to find the same pictures and then answer the questions. Of which, only 1-2 kids answered. The rest, no. 2. Most of the time I see the teacher posting “can you all please refer to my question above and answer” And after that many comments after and you will have to scroll back to find your answers 3. This was a replacement class for Thursday class which was cancelled. Usual classes < 10. Replacement class, two classes were combined. Almost 15-20 kids were online. How does the teacher spread his attention to reply to what the kids post? There is no audio not video input Nor output from the teacher and students. It had zero effectiveness for my son.

Learning Lab being a premium centre should allow us to postpone/refund our fees.

Hugely disappointed by the ineffective online e-learning solution put forth by a leading tuition centre that had earlier assured parents that TLL has a robust online contingency plan. Please internalize feedback and deliver a more viable solution for the students soonest. Thank you.
