Both petitions relating to the leadership issues at Cranbrook School have been taken down. The first called for a change in leadership with the second seeking to give a voice to anyone with one. We live in a democracy and even if, as Winston Churchill put it, 'democracy is the worst form of government', it is better than all of the others and it is the one we have. Wikipedia states that 'democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizens participate equally, either directly or through elected representatives'. This 'petition' is not a petition but a platform for anyone - student, parent, teacher, member of support staff, governor, trustee, alumni, prospective parent - who has either expressed a view and feels that they have not been heard or who has not and wants to be. It is here so that all eligible citizens can participate equally and, as such, it will not be taken down. Please note that this 'petition' will be moderated and any offensive comments removed.
