I’ve been on the Knot platform for a year with zero leads. I’ve tried reaching out to them to cancel my membership but no one is responding.

I was scammed by wedding wire. Thousands of dollars not one lead

They would send fake leads to my inbox

I purchased Fantasia Bridal in 2007 and signed with The Knot shortly after - I was with them for year after

Spent ~$10k on advertising in one year and converted zero leads. Many leads were suspect as well. They would inquire and then ghost.

Please congress investigate The Knot - we paid them for years and never received anything than fraud leads.

They sent many fake leads to string me along, and are very misleading and dishonest people. They would not let me cancel my contract after many complaints. Never booked a single job from their service, over an entire year.

I hate the fact that so many clients use this website that if a vendor is not on it, it makes you look legitimate. This site legitimizes you as a wedding vendor. That is unfortunately the only thing you are paying for because Leeds are fake 99% of the time. My boutique has been open for six years and I have been on the knot for all of those years. The amount of legitimate clients I have received from advertising on the knot is under 20. In six years. That is insane. I left wedding wire last year because it did not bring in any legitimate clients, and I’m thinking I’m going to leave the knot because of their pricing and the fact that no one seems to use them anymore.

I stopped advertising with TKWW in 2020. I was not on a contract o was month to month and it still took months for them for them to stop charging me. So sad. I was an early adopter and watched them become so greedy.

To whom it may concern, My name is Valorie Weber, I am the owner and operator of Foxtail Films LLC. I run a small wedding photography and videography business based out of Southeast Iowa. I am also a mother of two young girls and a wife to a very supportive and loving husband, Kevin. We live on a farm and it has been a dream of ours to be able to work from home and raise our children under our own roof. The combination of farm work and Foxtail Films has made that dream come true. Praise God! Our wedding business started in 2020, the year we got married, and that was the first time I had heard of The Knot. They’re what people in the wedding industry would refer to as “experts”, seeing as they’ve been in business since 1996. I myself was always very impressed by the reach this company had in the wedding industry. I knew advertising was going to cost a significant amount of money that I didn’t necessarily have. I also knew if I wanted to begin to reach couples that were outside of the state of Iowa, that advertising through The Knot could potentially be a place to start. Little did I know, I fell into their trap. Months and months prior to me signing up with The Knot, I had received numerous emails and phone calls from sales reps to the point where I nearly blocked their number. In July 2025, I started to see a decline in my inquiries. I thought that a business heavily involved in the wedding industry would be a wonderful place for me, someone else who’s in the wedding industry, to work with to broaden my reach. In August 2025, I scheduled a phone call with a representative from The Knot. I more or less just wanted to dabble in what to expect for pricing because it was not advertised anywhere on their site. What I thought would be a quick 10 minute inquiry turned into a 2 1/2 to 3 hour long sales phone conversation. I was told that the price that they gave me was set in stone and that they could not offer me that same price once I hung up the phone. I fe

The knot and wedding wire take your money and send fake leads

Have been on contract with The Knot and Wedding Wire for years and years, and the amount of fake leads have finally led us to cancel our contract.

I was conned into thinking I was going to be featured on a main page and on a month-to-month basis.

These scamers took me for $444 a month for a year and wouldn't let me cancel. As a new business owner that was a big pill to swallow.
