My business paid for years of advertising with the knot and wedding wire only to chase false leads that “ghosted” us, deal with spam and potential scam artists that contacted us via their app. Expensive and frustrating.

As a vendor advertising on this platform for years, I am beyond disappointed by their shady and deceptive practices that have cost me a lot and wasted my time.

I am a whistleblower against The Knot Worldwide. I came forward because I witnessed firsthand how this company has systematically defrauded the American wedding industry. Thousands of American business owners; photographers, florists, caterers, venues, officiants, makeup artists, musicians, planners, bakers, designers and other creatives — have been locked into contracts built on false and misleading claims, only to receive fake, spam, and often worthless leads in return. The Knot Worldwide exploits its monopolistic position to drive up advertising rates across the industry, leaving small businesses with virtually no viable alternative or legal recourse. These are hardworking Americans who trusted a platform that promised them customers and delivered deception. I, and two other former employees spoke up because what we saw was wrong. I urge every affected vendor and every supporter of America's small business community to sign this petition and demand accountability.

My business has been affected drastically from wedding wire. We have not received a good lead, all the leads ghost us after we answer them.

I’ve been on the Knot platform for a year with zero leads. I’ve tried reaching out to them to cancel my membership but no one is responding.

Spent ~$10k on advertising in one year and converted zero leads. Many leads were suspect as well. They would inquire and then ghost.

They sent many fake leads to string me along, and are very misleading and dishonest people. They would not let me cancel my contract after many complaints. Never booked a single job from their service, over an entire year.

I hate the fact that so many clients use this website that if a vendor is not on it, it makes you look legitimate. This site legitimizes you as a wedding vendor. That is unfortunately the only thing you are paying for because Leeds are fake 99% of the time. My boutique has been open for six years and I have been on the knot for all of those years. The amount of legitimate clients I have received from advertising on the knot is under 20. In six years. That is insane. I left wedding wire last year because it did not bring in any legitimate clients, and I’m thinking I’m going to leave the knot because of their pricing and the fact that no one seems to use them anymore.

I stopped advertising with TKWW in 2020. I was not on a contract o was month to month and it still took months for them for them to stop charging me. So sad. I was an early adopter and watched them become so greedy.
