I am locked in a contract for $150 a month and I am getting nothing for it. I get bogus leads and when I contact the leads I get ghosted my contract is for a year. I called them up and said I wanted to cancel and they said I have six more months to pay. I called my credit card company and was told I can’t do anything because of the contract.

My small business was scammed by this company, for a year they gave me fake leads and never booked a wedding with them.

Stupidly signed myself up with this scam of a company. Seriously, what needs to be done to get these guys shut down? I feel like the evidence is pretty overwhelming here.

Was promised the moon and the stars. When I signed up. The first month was ok but then dwindled. I went through a rough spot tried to cancel and was told I was in a contract. So after a few months of them threatening me I agreed to pay them and they started charging me more. I want out and they deserve to be shut down

I feel relieved to see that I'm not the only one feeling taken advantage of by The Knot (and in addition Wedding Wire). I respond, often several times, to clients but have never booked a single wedding, and my vendor site is as detailed as it can possibly be. I am roped into a year contract that I only signed up for because of their promises of multiple bookings that would more can cover the massive amount I'm paying each month. They are an extremely deceitful site.

The Knot is discriminatory against white male band leaders and uses "bots" to appear like you are getting leads.

I brought up time and time again, how much time was wasted on fake leads. They continued to string me along, was locked into a contract which they would not let me out of. I had expressed many times I wanted out of the contract. It was difficult to find a way to cancel it. They let it relapse and build me for an entire year. Even after I immediately after discovering that they had auto signed me up for an additional year. They again would not let me out of that contract even though I had not been active on the website and reported immediately after being charged for the new year that I wanted out. They let me know that they would take me to collections if I didn't pay my bill. It was a horrible experience. I felt very taken advantage of. Complete waste of time. Felt like a con job.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT USE!
This is NOT customer focused company at all. They are money hungry and don’t give any regard to the customer OR their vendors.
As a vendor, I expressed to several departments how I cannot afford to maintain my storefront, and I was struggling to feed my family and keep gas in my car. I was informed that the contract was so ironclad they could not let me out of it. The Knot would continue to charge me and potentially face lawsuits If I did not honor my contract. Are we not humans? I repeated to the rep over and over again how this company was draining me, and I was not able to sustain my life and marketing for this website. My business is not even fully functioning because I cannot afford to support the cost right now. Although the representative was sympathetic, she told me that the contract could not be undone. This is a terrible company, and I would never recommend anybody using such a business focused platform.
Acting like my little $68 a month will make or break THE Knot.

I had a paid membership with Wedding Wire but never got 1 REAL lead despite countless attempts on my end to follow up with clients.
It's one thing to have a few leads not respond but every lead?

Luckily only was scammed for 1 year. I’m glad someone is holding them to accountability.

Got me several times. They make you feel like you need to list with them to matter. This time they took down my reviews because I refused to pay them anymore. They use fake numbers to tell me my profile is getting traction yet NONE of their leads ever got back to me. It’s such a double edged sword and are threatening me with collections.

These crooks got my hard earned money for two years, and I never booked one single event from them. In fact, being ITB, I don’t know any vendor who’s ever booked an event through them.
