I feel like I’m in the (fortunate) minority when I say that I actually get a fair amount of bookings from The Knot. However, I am a well-established business in a very busy market, and I have been advertising with them for over 10 years. That being said, they are absolutely monopolizing the industry, and I’m certain that a large chunk of my inquiries are fake. Don’t even get me started on Wedding Wire - advertising with them was complete garbage and a waste of money. My rates have also increased drastically over the years, especially over this last year! I don’t feel that I can leave, because I’m a Best of Weddings winner and have tons and tons of 5-star reviews through The Knot. I pay over $500/month and I feel like it’s only going to increase.

They told me there was a 6 month wait to be approved unless I paid and I have the emails from someone named Kirby Russo who then deleted my account.

80% of leads are ghosts or scams, and there is evidence that the ghosts are faked in-house. EVEN IF THAT IS NOT TRUE the price charged for advertising on this site is based on massive misrepresentation about return on investment. Charge me a fair price and I would have been a customer for life.

Signing because I spent thousands to receive fake leads for 12 months and a huge issue when trying to leave when my contract was over. The knot is a SCAM!

I was ripped out of $1000’s of dollars on this site. It drowned me, all for it to lead to false leads.

They Renewed my subscription with them without them telling me and raised the amount and when I called to complain they started a whole new contact with them without my consent so that way I would be obligated to stay with them another year.

Fake leads, this company is preying off of small business photographers and never deliver on anything as promised. What's worse, they are lying, providing fake names, false, leads, and are a total scam !!!

I'm actively developing a wedding planning app (specifically focusing on the vendor marketplace toolset) to address all of the concerns from both vendors & couples. What The Knot is doing to screw over anyone and everyone all for their bottom line is exactly why I got into this business. #UntieTheKnot
