I agree with everything being proposed and thing the addition of silent sports is wonderful plus a nice 9 hole course and 3 hole kids course would be a bonus!

Please post a sign that you need a license to ski on Lake Hiawatha. I ran into someone who received an $80.00 ticket for not having a sign. How are people supposed to know?

Always appreciate more opportunities to cross country ski in Minneapolis. In the winter, golf courses ought be converted to groomed cross country ski trails - seems like a no brainer to help promote winter activity outside.

Mountain biking, skiing, and native prairie plants! Easy on the grasses though, unless you're going to introduce buffalo to graze on them. So probably flowers. Good for nature walks and pollinators.

I'm in favor of less golf course, and more skiing and mountain biking opportunities in Minneapolis. Hiawatha seems like a perfect win for the city.

These are excellent suggestions for an under utilized spot that had the potential to be a neighborhood gem.

A winter sanctuary for Nordic skiing and fatbiking and a general haven for silent sports throughout the seasons is well-needed and would certainly be well-utilized!

The golf consultants hired by the city found that golf operations are not sustainable especially at Hiawatha. Golf does not fit the mission of the park board and is damaging the environment. It is time for the park board to be good stewards of our land and choose to encourage the lifelong sport of skiing!

Urban xc skiing is one of the most unique and amazing things about minneapolis. Let's fight to keep this accessible too all!

This is the most convenient place for me to ski in the evenings after work to stay healthy. Traffic has gotten so bad, Theo Wirth is a pain to get to now, and I'd rather not go that far most of the time anyway

I totally support this and will forward to my friends. (I believe I successfully signed the petition.) Separating walking and ski trails is really important at Hiawatha, with the history of walking on the groomed trails.... and snowmaking would be beyond awesome!!
