The twin cities is saturated with golf courses. MPLS already spends millions on golf courses that aren't in city limits to serve a limited 'golf' demographic. Turn the thing into ski trails.

I love to ski at Hiawatha. I support making improvements as budgets allow to make this a better XC ski, hiking and bird watching destination. Many South MPLS residents who ski curently go to Theo Wirth for skiing but we would love to have a closer option that would be a shorter drive or that we coudl walk or bicycle to for our ski. Additionaly, Hiawatha is a great area for younger kids and adult beginners learning to ski as it is mostly flat and could be used by high school teams, Thank you.

I currently don't ski, but this plan offers offers many things that enhance the attractiveness of living in the Northrop neighborhood.

I frequently take lessons at Hiawathat as well as golf there. I really like the idea of converting the unuseable 9-holes to other activities. I also support a walking path around the lake. I know I would frequent the club house if it was more in the lines of Sea Salt also.

Would love to see more cross country skiing opportunities in the twin cities.

improved Nordic amenties; 9-hole course with inclusive patronage - too many courses in metro area have become so exclusive - olders & students can't golf; plus he other improvements in petions

More silent sports use of this great space alongside a quality 9 hole course! And lease out the clubhouse to a new vendor to get a quality food experience!

I'm not sure about snowmaking but I like the other proposals including a simple walking/running trail and improved ski trails on natural snow.

I cannot say how great it would be to part of this park for something other than golf. Silent sports are driving a great deal of economic development for Minnesota today - it also reflects what people wish to do with their time. Thanks for your consideration. -- Bancroft Neighborhood Citizen

Prime location for expansion into cross -country skiing. Golf courses make great cross-country skiing venues in the winter, but also great places for kids to learn how to ski.

I feel that Hiawatha Golf course is an excellent location for skiing in the winter months as well as a more diverse location for others to use than golfers.

I'm in favor of a greater focus on skiing, especially snowmaking and better ski access as well as trails for walking in-snow seasons. Yes to protecting the lake from lawn chemicals and greater accessibility to the lake. I'd love to see the clubhouse improved and we'll used as well.

The Hiawatha Golf Course is a great resource and makes the City and neighborhood a great place to live. Improvements to increase it use would be a win win for the community! Thank you, John
