This area is already congested so a structure like this would be too large to access the road system. Also it does not fit the design of that area.

I am opposed to the high rise development on Country Club and South Main. It will bring Too much congestion and reduce property values. Please out citizens interest before money, which we all know this project is about.

While I recognize the need for and applaud the effort to provide affordable housing, that cannot supersede all other considerations when evaluating a development proposal. That seems to be the case for this project. All arguments in favor center around who it will serve and ignore who it impacts. Its density and profile are simply not appropriate for this location. Period.

I am all for improving blacksburg but at what cost. If you think that all the traffic from this project is going to use the country club and main Street intersection you are crazy and obviously didn't do a traffic study. The traffic pattern will use the back residential roads that are used to take our children to school... many of those roads do not have sidewalks...
Please reconsider this project....

I support a special use permit for affordable housing at this location, but oppose the density proposed. I support subsidizing affordable housing, including at this location.

Rezoning this property to accommodate a building of this density and size cannot be the best housing option for the community or potential residents on this site. This is a long term 30+ year community impact plan for few month's long public notice/process. Rushing toward a decision to rezone the property to accommodate CHP’s submitted project should not be the sole option - a more conscientious solution could be possible by incorporating future safety concerns for an undertaking of this ambition. Zoning was established for a reason well before this intersection came under such scrutiny. Traffic and safety are currently issues for this intersection - without adding more congestion and a building of this size and design. Please work within the current zoning plan as designated for this property. Town council has vetoed other zoning requests and has that ability to do so again with integrity.

Vote no. This neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. A development this large would turn it into a hustle and bustle commercial space. There are other locations in Blacksburg where an apartment complex would work, but Country Club Dr is not one of them.

Soon will be called Apartmentville, VA, For students and collecting taxes for the town is not the only things that should matter, the town is going to all apartments. NO is my vote.
