I feel a family apartment complex does not belong immediately adjacent to one of the busiest intersections in our town. Think of the children's welfare. Please.

Find a better solution. Vote for our zoning laws, vote for the public's opposition, vote for the town, vote NO.

The project must be reduced in size and scope or this will create more long term problems for the town - even if it is for a just cause (affordable housing). Stay within the zoning or find a location that fits the scope of the project. Short-term wins do not outweigh long-term problems.

You claim you want affordable housing for young professionals, e.g. teachers, health care workers, etc. Yet, you propose to build subsidized housing in which NONE of the young professionals will have access to or want to live in! Tell me, which do you want: low income subsidized housing or affordable housing for young professionals? They are NOT one in the same. What was approved by the Planning Commission is the former. I am strongly AGAINST subsidized housing as approved by the Planning Commission!

Too dense and there are real traffic safety concerns for this location. Please vote no for rezoning for this project for this location. There are other, more suitable sites for this project in Blacksburg.

Safety for ALL children, bikes, and pedestrians. This is too dense and extremely close to Main Street to be considered safe. Vote against the rezoning of this property.

I agree 100% for more low income housing in Blacksburg, however the existing zoning parameters must be upheld. What's the point in having zoning rules if we're just going to ignore or change them?

I support affordable housing, but this proposed building is too dense for the location, especially with the narrow Country Club Drive that has no bike lanes.

Discounting traffic, there are still many safety issues.
Developer should work with the neighbors for a reasonable sized building.
