This building is way too close to Main St. and Country Club. Vote "No" to how this building is proposed. Some kid probably will get killed playing around this building. The town planning commission applied the general commercial zoning to this building which allows 10ft setbacks from the property line instead of 35ft for residential. This is not a commercial building. Children will be living and playing around it. Make them push the building back away from Main St.

I believe we need more affordable housing, and multi-story is not a bad idea in the right place. There are so many large vacant pieces of land on the streets east of S. Main that would be appropriate, still have good access to bus service and commercial area. But that corner of Country Club is already too dangerous because the road wasn't redesigned to handle the volume of traffic that goes from the Gables and Beeks are up the hill toward the golf course and beyond.

I'm all for affordable housing but the Legacy on South Main development, in spite of all the positives points, is massive and out of place (does not fit the neighborhood). CHP can do a much better job. Let's respect the neighbors. And for the members of the Town Council, it's best to reject this rezoning if the Comprehensive Plan has any merit at all.

I'm against the PRD Rezoning in the current application. The Town Council should require the Developer to work with the adjacent Neighborhood. Both parties shall
work to redesign of the project with acceptable density, parking and safe setbacks.

Please keep the zoning at its current rating. The neighborhood and the surrounding roads just can not handle a large amount of additional traffic.
